Our New Motor Home!

On February 26th we traded in our 2015 Entegra Anthem motor home for a brand new 2019 Entegra Anthem.  We liked our 42 DEQ model so much that we got the same floorplan again.

What prompted this change?  Last October we visited the Entegra factory when we were in Indiana for the Entegra University owner’s course.  We were wowed by all the upgrades and changes that had been made in the four years since our model was produced.   The factory is an amazing place and seeing the huge vehicles being made on the assembly line floor was awesome.  Entegra is an outstanding company that advertises the quietest riding, best-handing luxury coach on the market.  After our visit, we decided to special order a new motor home so that we could pick out all the colors and features we wanted.  In February, our coach was ready and delivered to us in Atlanta at National Indoor RV Center.

So…what does it look like?  We stayed with the same colors on the outside of the coach, but the new blue paint really stands out more than previous years.  This coach also has chrome trim on the bottom of the cargo bay doors and handles and cool accent lights on front and back.  We purchased Magne Shade windshield covers which really look nice –ours has an eagle and the Air Force seal.

In the main living area, you can see that we went with a lighter cream color leather for the furniture.  We now have theater seats in place of the previous L-shaped couch.  All three seats are fully reclining and are so comfortable.  We also chose a lighter cherry wood for the cabinetry.  We still have the corner TV and fireplace that we enjoyed in our other coach.  The wood-look floor tiles are so pretty and are a change from the previous white tile.

The kitchen is very similar but now has a lighter counter surface and a different pattern on the backsplash.  I really love the wood cover for the induction burners –it gives me more counter space when I am not using the stove.  We like the booth dinette rather than the table and chairs we had before.  It gives us more seating room and has storage drawers underneath.  We still have our residential refrigerator, china hutch, and dishwasher.

The bathroom has a rectangular shower now instead of the curved  shower.  We also have a cedar bench in the shower.  The Aviva shower dispenser  really keeps the shower neat by eliminating the need for bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.   The vanity has a medicine cabinet behind each mirror area, giving us 3 more storage areas. The Vega Touch control system on the wall looks like an iPad and gives us control over almost everything on the coach  (lights, shades, heating/cooling, water levels, locks, etc).  We can also control things using an app on our iPhone which is very convenient.

One of the bedroom changes are adjustable reading lights over the bed and a new padded headboard.  I like the new bedding and pillows too.  We still have the washer and dryer, TV, ceiling fan, and cedar closet as before.

The front dash area is all digital now and has a keyless start.  The ride is so smooth and quiet!  Entegra has the best warranty on the market and their customer service is outstanding.  Needless to say, we are so happy with our new coach!  I think the lighter leather and wood makes the coach seem brighter and more spacious inside.  What do you think?  Please feel free to ask any questions in the comments below.

  3. Your new motor home is gorgeous! I wish you much health, happiness and delicious meals. And, of course, safe travels. My husband and I are planning our future now. We are close to buying an RV but plan on getting an older one and doing some renovation on the interior. My husband is a handyman and design is a hobby of mine. We are so looking forward to joining you on the road!!!
