Sammie (Lady Samantha of Fairfax) and Chloe (Sweet Cloverleaf) are our two English Springer spaniel dogs who are traveling with us in our motorhome. They are sweet girls who are 14 1/2 years old! While they don’t hear too well and their sight is fading a little, they are very loving and enjoy hanging out with us. They have their soft beds in front of the fireplace so they can stay warm and can have a good view of us on the couch.
I don’t think Sammie and Chloe like the driving part of our travels, but they never did enjoy riding in the car either. Once we arrive and settle in, they are happy to explore a new place. They like to go outside and sniff all the good smells in each campground–they’ve even made a few doggie friends.
Having our dogs with us makes our RV feel like home. Dogs have always been a part of our family and these girls have been with us quite a while! Sammie and Chloe have adjusted pretty well to the smaller space. Because they are older dogs, they don’t need as much exercise as a younger or larger dog might. They sleep quite a bit, but we enjoy time with them each day. It’s great to have our sweet fur babies along for our adventures traveling the US!
They are such sweet girls with their own personalities, we miss them too.
I really enjoyed meeting them several years ago. They are something else and I know you cherish your time with them. I miss them too! Best travel companions ever.
Our family members are suckers for a sweet puppy face, aren’t we?!
